Dan, who runs the Morning Maker Show, sells the surface of his Mercedes-AMG coupé as advertising space: 62 numbered spots, from a $250 wedge on the rear to the $15,000 bonnet centre, each one printed for twelve months from 15 November 2026 to 15 November 2027. The car is driven in Copenhagen most days with trips to Stockholm, Oslo and Berlin. The site keeps a public counter of the money raised and marks sold spots as sold, so anyone can see how much of the car is gone: on 3 September 2026 it read $2,750 raised with 20 of 62 spots claimed. The launch post on X passed 200,000 views.

In one sentence editorial

The scarcity is physical and visible: a car has a fixed number of panels, and the site shows which ones are already taken.

The facts Space on a thing

A real object or a person carries your logo: a laptop lid, a car, a toilet, a forehead, a shirt.

How the mechanism works, and why it works here 7 of 7 blocks · the schema

Every project is taken apart with the same seven questions, each borrowed from a standard analysis tool, so you can compare this one with any other on the board. The funnel numbers come from the daily snapshots, not from the creator.

What is exchanged

Value Proposition Canvas

A printed logo on a named panel of a specific car, for twelve months of that car being driven around Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo and Berlin.

2

How the price forms

Pricing mechanism analysis

A fixed price per panel, from $250 for a rear wedge to $15,000 for the bonnet centre. The price is the visibility of the surface, not a bid.

3

Supply and scarcity

Scarcity and inventory analysis

Sixty-two spots, and a car cannot grow more. Twenty were claimed within the first week, and the page marks them sold.

4

Growth loop

Viral loop analysis

The creator has an audience of his own (32,000 on X, a YouTube show), and the launch post did over 200,000 views. Buyers are visible on the car, not on a leaderboard, so the loop is the creator posting the build.

5

Defensibility

Moat and clone analysis

The car is the moat: a copy needs its own car, its own city and its own audience. That is a higher bar than registering a domain.

6

What can kill it

Failure mode analysis

Nothing is delivered until the print in November 2026, so buyers pay a year ahead of the value. A single vehicle is a single point of failure, and the sold-out panels are the ones that were worth the most.

7

Why it works here

Editorial verdict

The physical end of the wave. A fixed, visible inventory, prices set by the surface, and a creator whose reach is the distribution.
